Pavel Karusev

Pavel Karusev has extensive experience in compliance and law-related roles. Pavel is currently working as the Chief Compliance Officer at Genesis Digital Assets, where they focus on implementing compliance policies to ensure adherence to US/EU/Swiss legislation. Prior to this, Pavel worked at Группа «М.Видео-Эльдорадо» as the Head of Compliance Division, where they gained management experience and focused on preventing tax and anti-corruption violations. Pavel also worked at Группа Компаний "МЕГАПОЛИС" as an Expert in the Compliance Division, devising compliance policies to prevent violations of international economic sanctions. Pavel began their career as a Lawyer at Pepelyaev GROUP OOO, advising Russian financial institutions on compliance matters. Pavel also worked as a Trainee Lawyer at Linklaters, where they gained knowledge about anti-corruption and anti-money laundering and worked on various legal tasks related to IPOs, M&A, and structured financing deals.

Pavel Karusev obtained their J.D. equivalent degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) between the years 2007 and 2012. Their field of study was in Jurisprudence, with a focus on general direction.
