Bunty Bhatia

Bunty Bhatia has a diverse range of work experience. In 2009, they participated in the ACE Mentoring program with Bechtel Corporation. In 2012, Bunty worked at the University of Maryland as a Powertrain Team Member for the Formula SAE: Terps Racing Team, a Lead Researcher for a multi-scale research project, and a Research Assistant at the Advancement Manufacturing Laboratory. They also worked on designing a Vibrations apparatus in the Vibrations and Controls Laboratory. From 2013 to 2016, Bunty was a Product Engineer at dlhBOWLES, where they performed project definition and research activities, led implementation of manufacturing process modifications, and managed project schedules. In 2013, they interned as a Test Engineer at Mars Labs. From 2016 to 2019, Bunty worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer and later as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. They employed CATIA to design and assemble a dual-action/random orbit system tool, used GD&T for precision assemblies, utilized Adams dynamic modeling for balancing mechanisms, and optimized the random orbit mechanism for reduced vibration. In 2019, they joined Xometry as a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, and later that year, they became a Structural Engineer at Genesis Engineering Solutions, Inc.

Bunty Bhatia pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, which was completed between 2010 and 2013. Following this, Bunty furthered their education by attaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, which was achieved between 2017 and 2021. In addition, Bunty holds a Class B Certification to operate SEM, although specific details regarding its institution and attainment month/year are not provided.
