Nikolaos Antonakopoulos has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. NIKOLAOS started their career in 1996 as a Physician at NHS and later worked as a Research Physician at Royal Free Hospital in London from 2004 to 2006. NIKOLAOS then joined Novartis as a Senior Consultant from 2006 to 2016. In 2012, they worked as a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist at a Private Office. NIKOLAOS joined Genesis Pharma in 2016 as a Medical Manager, and subsequently held roles as Medical Affairs Director and Medical Director in Inflammation & Immunology. Currently, they serve as the Medical Director of Immunology for Greece & Cyprus at Genesis Pharma.

Nikolaos Antonakopoulos completed their education in the field of medicine. NIKOLAOS obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Medical School at the University of Athens, where they studied from 1987 to 1993. NIKOLAOS then pursued further specialization in Internal Medicine from 1998 to 2000 at "Agios Panteleimon", Nikaia General Hospital. Following that, from 2000 to 2004, they enrolled in the Gastroenterology Residency Program at Tzaneion General Hospital.
