Audrey Brown

Audrey Brown is the current Associate Director at Genesis Research. Audrey has also worked as the Market Access Lead and Senior Market Access Scientist at the company. Prior to that, they were with SIRIUS Market Access for 3 years and 4 months, where they worked as a Senior Market Access Scientist, Medical Writer, and Life Science Research Analyst. Audrey has also worked as a Research Associate at Newcastle University for 14 years and 10 months, where they oversaw the research conducted in the lab and provided support and advice to students. Her research is focused on the development of insulin resistance in skeletal muscle. Audrey has developed and optimized protocols for the isolation and characterization of satellite cells from human tissue. Audrey has also characterized the insulin resistant state by using metabolic assays and radiolabelled glucose. In addition, Audrey has extensive experience in microarray, PCR and real-time PCR, Western blotting, ELISAs and immunohistochemistry.

Audrey Brown has a PhD from Glasgow University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Batchelor of Science from Glasgow University in Medical Biochemistry.
