Jonathon Briggs

Jonathon Briggs is currently a Medical Writer & Analyst at Genesis Research. Jonathon has been with the company for 1 year 2 months, and has previously held the positions of Market Access Scientist and Medical Writer/Analyst. Prior to joining Genesis Research, Jonathon was a Banting Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia for 3 years, where they investigated the molecular mechanism of carbohydrate uptake by beneficial Human Gut Microbes, and understanding glycan transport across the outer-membrane of Bacteroides species, prominent members of the human gut microbiota, using a structural and functional approach. Jonathon also has experience as a Postdoctoral Reserch Associate at Newcastle University, where they investigated utilization of Arabinogalactan by prominent human gut Bacteroides species.

Jonathon Briggs has a PhD in Microbiology/Biochemistry from Newcastle University, a Master of Research in Molecular Microbiology from Newcastle University, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from Newcastle University.
