Carlos Latorre

Carlos Latorre has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Carlos started their career at DuPont in 1993, where they worked as a New Business Opportunities Development & Planning Rep. Carlos then moved to DuPont Dow Elastomers as a Marketing Intern in 1997. In 1998, they joined FMC as a Business Planner before taking on various roles at FMC Technologies, including Sales Support Service Manager, Business Manager - Surface WH Brazil, and General Manager - Mexico.

In 2007, Latorre joined GE Oil & Gas as the General Director in Mexico, responsible for managing a 400+ employees organization and overseeing all areas of the business. Carlos later joined Network International as the Director of Sales and Business Development from 2007 to 2010.

Latorre then returned to FMC Technologies, where they served as the Customer Services Manager Africa - Western Region and Separation Systems Area Manager - Latin America. In these roles, they were responsible for business development and significantly increasing sales.

From 2016 to 2019, Latorre worked at TechnipFMC as the International Services Manager - South America/Caribbean and Business Development Manager - South America. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Business Development - Genesis Americas at Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants, starting in 2019.

Carlos Latorre holds an MBA/MA degree in Economics from the University of Delaware, specializing in International Business, Marketing, and International Economics. Carlos also holds a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the same institution. In addition, they have obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Simplilearn in 2017.
