Katie Vincent

Katie Vincent has had a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Katie currently holds the position of Director of Learning & Talent Development at Geneva Trading, where they focus on solving complex problems and driving immediate results. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Learning & Organizational Development at PEAK6, where they developed professional development strategies and established a Learning Community. Katie also served as an Associate Director of Learning & Development at SMS Assist, L.L.C., where they created and implemented training programs for employees, partners, and customers.

Earlier in their career, Katie worked at AXA Partners as a Senior Learning & Development Specialist, managing training projects and mentoring junior team members. Katie also held the roles of Quality Analyst & Performance Coach and Senior International Personal Advisor at AXA Partners, where they conducted coaching sessions, evaluated employee performance, and developed training materials.

Katie's experience also includes working as a Writing Instructor and Tutor at DePaul University, where they taught composition and rhetoric and provided writing support to graduate and undergraduate students. Katie worked as a Student Finance Advisor at DeVry University, providing financial advising to online and international students. Additionally, Katie held positions as a Senior Taxpayer Services Representative and Training Coordinator at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, where they provided tax assistance and developed training materials. Prior to that, they were the Children's Department Supervisor & Events Coordinator at Barnes & Noble, overseeing staff, promoting literacy programs, and managing sales.

Early in their career, Katie worked as a Reading Tutor & Nanny as a self-employed contractor, as well as a Community Outreach Intern at City Mission of Schenectady, where they assisted with educational programs and community events.

Katie Vincent has a Master's Degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse from DePaul University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from SUNY Brockport from 2004 to 2006. Katie also attended SUNY Adirondack from 2003 to 2004 and Southern Vermont College from 2002 to 2003, focusing on Communications. Before entering college, Katie completed the Honors/Regents High School/Secondary Diploma Program at Schenectady Christian School (Mekeel Christian Academy) from 1988 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, such as "A Great Place to Work for All," "Creating Psychological Safety for Diverse Teams," and "Become a Super-Collaborator" in 2021, "Succession Planning" in 2019, and "Adobe Captivate Bootcamp" and "Adult CPR/AED" in 2016. Katie also obtained a certification in Teaching English as a Second Language from DePaul University in 2013.
