Maarten Egmond

CTO at Genexis

Maarten Egmond has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Maarten started their career in 2001 as a Software Engineer at Genoa, where they designed and implemented automated test systems. In 2002, they joined Philips Medical Systems as an Embedded Software Engineer. Afterward, they joined Genexis (FTTH) in 2005 as a Senior Systems Engineer and later served as the Chief Architect from 2011 to 2015. In 2016, they became the CTO of Genexis. Additionally, in 2021, they took on the role of the In-Home Broadband Excellence committee chair at FTTH Council Europe, focusing on enhancing the user experience inside the home and assisting Communication Service Providers.

Maarten Egmond attended Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in both Applied Physics and Information Technology. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1996, they completed their Propedeuse at Eindhoven University of Technology, studying Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics.
