Miha Stajdohar has held multiple positions in the technology field since 2001. From 2001-2003, they were a Software Developer at DFG Consulting. From 2003-2004, they were a Software Developer at Harpha Sea d.o.o. and a Student Partner at Microsoft. From 2007-2014, they were a Postdoctoral Associate and Research Assistant at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, where they developed Networks and Model Maps add-ons for the open-source data mining toolkit Orange. In 2014, they became a Postdoctoral Associate at Baylor College of Medicine, and in 2013 they became the Chief Technology Officer at Genialis.

Miha Stajdohar obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Ljubljana in the Faculty of Computer and Information Science from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the same university in the same field of study from 2002 to 2007. Additionally, they have obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2022.
