Rafael Rosengarten is the CEO of Genialis, a company they co-founded 6 years and 9 months ago. Prior to Genialis, Rafael spent nearly 20 years in biomedical research, during which time they published on the evolution of innate immune systems, bioengineering of microbes, and genetics of development. Rafael also has experience in developing software for high-throughput molecular design and analyses, and is the co-inventor of the j5 DNA assembly design automation tool. Rafael attended Dartmouth College and earned their doctorate at Yale University. AAIH is comprised of over 50 industry influencers who are dedicated to developing AI/ML Platforms and products for biomedical drug discovery, clinical research and data management, diagnostics and medical devices, and precision medicine. The ultimate goal of AAIH is to improve patient quality of life by creating more effective, sustainable, and accessible healthcare. By engaging in advocacy, investment, and AI industry initiatives, AAIH fosters an environment primed for the growth and development of an industry that is destined to have a tremendous impact across the healthcare spectrum. Rafael has been involved with AAIH for 3 years and 6 months.
Rafael Rosengarten attended Yale University, Dartmouth College, and Academic Magnet High School. Rafael received their Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science from Yale University in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology in 2010. Rafael was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow during their time at Yale. Rafael received their Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Dartmouth College in 2001. Rafael also attended Friday Harbor Laboratory and the University of Washington.
