Andrew Webb

Andrew Webb is a Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist at Genie AI since October 2024. Previously, Andrew served as the Lead Machine Learning Research and Development Engineer at vTime from October 2019 to October 2024, where Andrew led a team in developing innovative machine learning solutions across various data types and improved development processes. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Associate at The University of Manchester from September 2016 to September 2019, working on the PAMELA project to integrate real-time object detection into SLAM systems and studying ensemble methods' model diversity and bias. Andrew also held positions as a Research Software Engineer at The University of Manchester, contributing to neural data structure generation for SpiNNaker and developing graphics rendering software for the platform. Andrew earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Manchester in 2016 and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2010.
