Erik Sjöland

Erik Sjöland currently serves as Senior Director and Head of Commercial Data Science at Genmab since November 2023, following a role as Director of Commercial Data Sciences at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from March 2017 to December 2023. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Data Scientist at The Wharton School, Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, and Trading Strategist at Trexquant Investment LP. Erik has a strong background in data science and algorithms, having developed trading algorithms and machine learning models, while also contributing to academic research and teaching in mathematics during engagements at Aalto University, University of Oxford, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Erik holds a PhD in Mathematics from Aalto University, supported by a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and Mathematics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
