Ilse Jongerius is an experienced professional in the field of translational research, currently serving as Associate Director and Principal Scientist at Genmab since January 2022. Prior to this role, Ilse held the position of Associate Professor at Amsterdam UMC from May 2019 to January 2022 and served as Group Leader of Complement Research at Sanquin from February 2018 to January 2022. Ilse's expertise includes the interaction between pathogenic bacteria and the innate immune system, with a focus on the complement system's role in immune response. Academic experience includes postdoctoral research at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment and Dunn School of Pathology, Oxford University, as well as research roles at Imperial College London.
