Jelena Popov-Celeketic

Jelena Popov-Celeketic is an accomplished scientist specializing in clinical bioanalysis and pharmaceutical development with extensive experience in the biotechnology field. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Genmab since September 2020, Jelena previously held positions including Senior Scientist in Clinical Bioanalysis at the same company and Project Manager for Pharmaceutical Development at Synerkine Pharma. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Investigator at UMC Utrecht, where Jelena focused on the production and characterization of a novel biologic for disease-modifying osteoarthritis, involving preclinical development processes. Additional research experience includes postdoctoral roles at UMC Groningen and LMU München, where Jelena investigated cartilage repair mechanisms and mitochondrial biogenesis, respectively. Jelena earned a PhD in Cell Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
