Michel de Weers

Michel de Weers has extensive experience in antibody science and operations management, currently serving as Director, Operations and Resource Manager, and previously as Associate Director, Antibody Science at Genmab since 2014. Between 2003 and 2013, Michel held the position of Assistant Director in the same department, and earlier in the career at Genmab, responsibilities included preclinical research on Daratumumab and the selection and characterization of human antibodies. Prior to Genmab, experience included roles as a Senior Scientist at Crucell and U-BiSys, focusing on the isolation and characterization of antibodies targeting tumor antigens, along with postdoctoral research at Erasmus University. Michel began the academic journey as a PhD student studying Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase at LUMC and earned a Master of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from Leiden University.
