Olaf Voets

Olaf Voets is a Principal Scientist at Genmab, engaged in the Product Discovery department and the Cell & Molecular Science team since October 2022. Prior to joining Genmab, Olaf worked at Galapagos from July 2013 to October 2022, serving as a Principal Scientist leading various projects in the New Cellular Technologies team, focusing on the establishment of new technologies for target discovery and validation aimed at identifying novel drug targets. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist and Scientist at Galapagos, where Olaf contributed to implementing new technologies like the CRISPR/Cas9 system. Olaf began academic research as a Ph.D. student at Erasmus MC from September 2008 to February 2013, with a dissertation on gene expression control by chromatin binding factors, and has also completed undergraduate research projects at the Hubrecht Institute and UMC Utrecht, alongside degrees in Molecular Biology, Cancer Genomics & Developmental Biology, and Biology from esteemed institutions.
