Michael Higgins

Michael Higgins is the current Director at Genocea Biosciences. Michael has over 25 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

Michael started their career in 1990 as the Chief Financial Officer at Procept, Inc. Michael then moved to Genzyme Corporation in 1997, where they served as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Business Development. In 2003, they joined Ironwood Pharmaceuticals (formerly Microbia) as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer/ Chief Financial Officer. Michael served in this role for 12 years before joining Genocea Biosciences as Director in 2015.

Michael Higgins has a wealth of experience in finance, strategy, and business development. Michael has a proven track record of success in the biotech industry, and is an invaluable asset to Genocea Biosciences.

Michael Higgins received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Dartmouth College - The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
