Shannon Bard serves as the Lead Climate Venture Studio & Entrepreneur in Residence at The University of British Columbia, focusing on initiatives addressing climate emergencies and enhancing communication between academia and industry. Concurrently, Shannon holds the position of Executive in Residence at Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre, mentoring cleantech leaders and providing strategic guidance across various sectors. With extensive experience on boards and advisory committees, including the Business Council of British Columbia and the Science Advisory Board for Contaminated Sites in BC, Shannon promotes environmental sustainability and innovation. Previous roles include Director of Innovation at Ausenco & Hemmera and contributions to marine conservation through the Coastal Scene Investigation project. Shannon's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, alongside degrees from Nantes Université and Stanford University.
