Gabriel Aldam

Gabriel Aldam is a seasoned Genomics Data Scientist at Genomics England since November 2020, with prior experience as a Bioinformatician at Cambridge Cancer Genomics, where contributions included the adoption of QMS and ISO 13485 standards in software development. Previously, Gabriel held positions at the European Bioinformatics Institute, focusing on the 1,000 genomes project, and at Illumina, supporting the 100,000 genomes project while fulfilling dual roles in pipeline operations and tool development within high-quality controlled environments. Early career experience includes student placements at the EBI and Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Gabriel holds an MSc in Computer Science (Software Engineering) and a BSc in Biology & Bioinformatics from Aberystwyth University.
