Luca Venturini

Luca Venturini is a highly experienced bioinformatics professional currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at Genomics England since April 2021, following a role as a Bioinformatics Engineer at Earlham Institute from October 2020 to March 2021. Prior to this, Luca held the position of Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at the Natural History Museum from November 2018 to September 2020 and worked as a Computational Biologist at Earlham Institute from January 2015 to November 2018, focusing on in silico genome annotation with a specific interest in hexaploid wheat (T. aestivum). Luca's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Biotechnologies and a Master of Science (MS) in Plant Biotechnologies, both obtained from Università degli Studi di Verona. Additionally, a postdoctoral researcher role at the same institution was completed from March to December 2014.
