Lisa JK is a social entrepreneur and founder dedicated to cultural preservation and environmental sustainability. As the Creator and CEO of the Regenerative Fashion Collaborative Exchange (ReFaCE) since April 2022, Lisa addresses the fashion industry's impact on climate change and biodiversity in Africa. In addition, Lisa founded Swahili Coast Culture in 2014, focusing on the conservation and advancement of Swahili culture, and Baossence in 2018, which creates baobab-based wellness products while promoting the conservation of baobab trees and supporting local communities. Lisa serves as a board member for the Kenya Coast Tourist Association, previously held the position of Experiential Officer at Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani, and founded Mombasa Maridadi to enhance the beauty of Mombasa County. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
