Elaine Wang, PhD

Elaine Wang, PhD has extensive experience in various roles and industries. Elaine is currently working as a Sr Business Development Manager, Technical Solutions at GenScript ProBio since 2023. Prior to that, Elaine worked at Berkeley Lights, Inc. from 2021 to 2023 as a Platform Development and Contract Research Scientist, where they developed high-throughput screening assays, integrated new components to technology platforms, and supported engagements' proofs-of-concept. In 2021, they also worked as a PhD to VC Fellow at Fifty Years, where they learned about early-stage venture investments and provided sourcing and diligence support. Elaine gained R&D experience as an intern at GH Labs in 2020, focusing on COVID rapid response and lateral flow product improvement. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Business Development Fellow at UCLA Technology Development Group, developing marketing strategies and researching commercialization strategies. Elaine also has experience in private equity, having worked as a Private Equity Intern at CITIC Securities Company Limited in 2018, where they conducted due diligence and project sourcing. Elaine began their career as a Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015, focusing on immunoassay development and microfluidic technology. Elaine also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Toronto in 2015, conducting characterization of nanoparticle drug delivery systems.

Elaine Wang, PhD has a diverse education history. Elaine obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Bioengineering from UCLA. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with honors from Peking University Health Science Center. Elaine also holds a Double Major BS degree in Psychology from Peking University.
