David Fanning

Global Critical Facilities Leader at Gensler

David Fanning is the current Global Critical Facilities Leader at Gensler. Prior to joining Gensler, David served as Executive Managing Director - Data Center Advisory Group at Cushman & Wakefield from January 2018 to March 2021. In this role, David led Cushman & Wakefield's Data Center Advisory Group, a team of highly experienced data center professionals focused on delivering successful outcomes for data center operators, owners, and investors. The group specialized in Data Center and IT Strategic Planning, Site Selection, Valuation, Cloud and Colocation Leasing, and Joint Venture and Acquisition initiatives.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, David served as Senior Managing Director, Data Center Solutions at CBRE from September 2015 to August 2017. In this role, David was a member of the leadership team for CBRE Data Center Solutions focused on integrating service lines and expanding the practice group on a global basis.

Prior to joining CBRE, David served as VP Global Business Development at Johnson Controls from January 2000 to August 2015. In this role, David was responsible for leading Johnson Controls' global business development efforts.

David has over 20 years of experience in the data center industry and has a proven track record of success in leading data center initiatives on a global basis.

They are on a team with Julie Seitz - Director of Client Strategy, Kevin Katigbak - Strategy Director, Senior Associate, and Alejandro Soto - Realization Leader, Principal. Their manager is Diane Hoskins, Co-CEO & Co-Chairman.
