Christiane Maertens

Christiane A. Maertens is an accomplished professional with extensive leadership and management experience across various organizations. As Chair of the Gente Buena Foundation since November 2023, Christiane also serves as CEO and Founder of Valor Bebidas and DoGoodery, roles held since May 2022 and January 2019, respectively. A Board Member of Outdoor Afro until December 2024, Christiane previously worked with the North American Association for Environmental Education in multiple positions including Corporate Partnerships Advisor and Deputy Director from May 2012 to August 2019. Christiane has held significant roles at National Geographic as Executive Producer and Host of the "Imagine If" podcast from August 2017 to January 2019, and at The Walt Disney Company in various managerial roles from May 2005 to May 2012. Early career experience includes serving as a Sales Coordinator at T-Mobile in 2003-2004. Christiane holds degrees in Political Science and International Relations from both the University of Oxford and San Diego State University, along with a degree in Spanish from Universidad Guadalajara Lamar.
