Silvano Azzopardi

Silvano Azzopardi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Silvano started their career as an Audit Senior at PwC. Silvano then worked at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions AB as a Financial Controller, where they restructured the finance department and implemented a new financial information system. Silvano then joined W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG, where they served as Finance Director in China, Asia, and Malta. During their time at W.E.T., they were involved in the establishment of new manufacturing facilities and the acquisition of subsidiaries. Silvano also served as Co-President of Yongsan-W.E.T. Korea Co. Ltd., overseeing the setup and operations of the company. Later, Silvano joined Gentherm, taking on several Vice President Finance roles, including responsibilities for the Asia-Pacific region, the Climate and Comfort Business Unit, and the Electronics Business Unit. Additionally, they served as General Manager - Finance and Legal, Asia at Gentherm, managing finance, legal affairs, compliance, and more. Outside of their corporate roles, Silvano has also been a Supervisory Board Member of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. Throughout their career, Silvano has demonstrated their expertise in finance, administration, legal affairs, and business development.

Silvano Azzopardi has a diverse education history. Silvano obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, studying from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed a B.A. Honours in Accountancy from the University of Malta from 1993 to 1995. Silvano also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Malta, which they received from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, they were awarded a scholarship by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study Lingua e cultura Italiana at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia in 1990.

In terms of certifications, Silvano Azzopardi has pursued several additional qualifications throughout their career.
