Poonam Sharma

Poonam Sharma is a Senior Engineer in the Process Development team at GentiBio and the process development lead for GentiBio’s T1D program. Prior to joining GentiBio, Poonam was an Associate Principal Scientist 1 in the Cell Therapy Process Development team at WuXi Advanced Therapies where she worked on developing and launching WuXi’s Autologous CAR T-Cell Therapy Platform. In parallel, she led technical transfers of primarily Phase I/II CAR-T and TIL processes from clients to manufacturing teams. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland.
