Alexis Brown is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, wife and mother whose passion for the mission of the Gentry Foundation came from her twin sons early Autism diagnosis.
While her twin boys, Brody and Grahm, were premature and spent some time in the NICU, they returned home and were thriving babies. Alexis’ life was thrown a curve ball as the recommendations for evaluations and assessments for her boys started at around 15 months old. After going through the system and receiving services through the state, Alexis’ sons eventually received an Autism diagnosis at age 4. Alexis then knew it was time to start implementing what she referred to as “boot camp” therapy for her boys. Two years of intensive therapy 5 days a week for each boy began and this became her top priority. Watching, learning, seeing their growth and how responsive they were was amazing. They started Kindergarten in a typical classroom without an aide and knew at that point moving forward that she not only wanted to continue to help her boys but kids all over AZ. Alexis has been a board member for The Gentry Foundation for 6 years and has put her heart and soul into paying it forward and raising money for other children to receive the early intervention her children were fortunate to have.
