Dinesh Sawhney

Dinesh Sawhney has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dinesh most recently worked as the Director of Supply Chain Management at Genuine Parts Company, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Amazon, including Senior Supply Chain Manager and Senior Program Manager, from 2020 to 2023.

Before joining Amazon, Dinesh worked at Walmart for a significant period. Dinesh served as the Direct Import Manager for Global Sourcing, leading programs that generated $120 million in cost savings and significantly increased Direct Import penetration. Dinesh also held the role of Project Manager in different capacities, contributing to major integration projects and supply chain transformation initiatives at Walmart.

Earlier in their career, Dinesh worked at IBM as a Senior Advisory Consultant, delivering substantial cost savings and driving change for international clients. Dinesh also served as an Independent Consultant, advising companies such as CHEP, Office Max, and ConAgra Foods on supply chain optimization.

Dinesh began their career at Alliance Consulting Group, where they worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant, leading a multi-million dollar project for McDonald's to enhance their promotional product supply chain. Dinesh also gained experience as a Senior Analyst at United Airlines.

Dinesh Sawhney holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from The Wharton School, completed between 2016 and 2018. Dinesh also possesses a Master's Degree in Operations Research & Supply Chain from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Their Bachelor's Degree in Production and Industrial Engineering was obtained from Delhi College of Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in topics such as machine learning, strategic execution, product development, decision-making, and supply chain analysis.
