Steve Whipday

Steve Whipday has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Steve currently holds the role of Global Head of Information Security at Genus PLC since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as an IT security project manager and IT PMO Lead at the same company. Before joining Genus PLC, Steve worked as a Consultant at Bowley Data Solutions from 2017 to 2019 and as a Manufacturing Consultant at VIRTUAL FACTORY SOLUTIONS LIMITED from 2016 to 2017. Steve also had a significant stint at Airbus, where they served as the Head of Shopfloor Solutions UK and ICT Customer Relationship Manager from 2015 to 2016. Steve's work experience also includes roles such as ICT Plant Manager at Airbus, IT Co-ordinator at JCI Ellsmere Port, Systems Support at Arrow Global, IT Field Engineer at BDS and NHS Arrowe Park Hospital, Partner/Technical Lead at Fusion-tec, and IT Support Engineer at Accuma Insolvency Practitioners Ltd.

Steve Whipday attended Swinton High School from 1990 to 1995. Steve did not obtain a degree or specialize in any specific field of study during their time there. In terms of additional certifications, Steve obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from The Lean Six Sigma Company in November 2021. In May 2016, they obtained the Prince II Practitioner certification from Axelos. In June 2015, Steve obtained the ITIL V3 Foundation certification, although the institution from which they obtained it is not specified. Lastly, in October 2013, they received the Professional Agile Leadership I certification from Scrum.org.
