Samuel Kokel has worked in the engineering field since 1999. Samuel began their career as a Hardware Engineer Internship at National Instruments, where they designed and implemented the PCI-6036E. Samuel then moved to the Electro-magnetics Lab at Texas A&M University, where they conducted research on microwave systems, antennas, and circuits. In 2004, they moved to Computer Science Lab 12 at Kobe University in Japan, where they researched a large aperture sparce element retrodirective array measurement and demonstration. In 2013, they began working at SPEC as a Principal RF Engineer, responsible for design, integration, and characterization of RF front ends. Since 2018, they have been working at GenXComm Inc. as a Senior RF Engineer.

Samuel Kokel obtained their B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2002. Samuel then went on to obtain their M.S. in Electromagnetic Theory, High Frequency Circuits and Antennas from the same university in 2004. In 2007, they completed partial fulfillment of their PhD in Electrical Engineering from Kobe University.
