Sr Technical Lead at GenXComm

Thompson Lewis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technical engineering and leadership. Thompson is currently employed at GXC as a Sr Technical Lead, where they analyze, plans, designs, and supports wireless 4G/5G systems for pre-sales and proof of concept. Thompson also leads and supports military and defense programs, ensuring the capabilities of the end solution match the program's scope.

Prior to their current role, Lewis worked as a Systems Engineer at GXC, where they performed similar responsibilities in analyzing, planning, designing, and supporting wireless systems. Thompson also supported military and defense programs from a systems engineering perspective.

Before joining GXC, Lewis served as a Technical Education Instructor at Forest Lake Area Schools in 2020, where they focused on teaching technical education.

From 2015 to 2019, Lewis worked at CommScope (following the acquisition of TE Connectivity Broadband Network Solutions) as a Manager/Lead Trainer, Technical Education and Services. In this role, they managed the creation and delivery of education and learning materials to internal staff and external customers, resulting in increased product sales and customer satisfaction. Thompson also served as a subject matter expert (SME) in CommScope Wireless and Small Cell product lines, providing engineering training and support during sales meetings.

Prior to their time at CommScope, Lewis was employed at TE Connectivity from 2012 to 2015. Thompson served as a Lead Trainer/Global Certification Manager, organizing and overseeing a global certification program for the training department. Thompson delivered innovative technical training methods and acted as an SME for TE Connectivity FlexWave DAS product lines.

From 2011 to 2012, Lewis worked as a Lead Technology Architect at Comtech International. Thompson analyzed industry factors and directed product portfolio direction to maximize company return on investment. Thompson also collaborated with internal engineering departments to improve market deployment.

Lewis pursued a Masters Program in Management of Technology at UMN MOT program from 2010 to 2012.

Before their time at Comtech International, Lewis was a Lead Technology Architect at Maximum Communications, Inc. from 2009 to 2010. In this role, they established business and engineering direction, reviewed contracts, and approved policies and budgets for network improvements.

Prior to that, Lewis worked at ADC from 2000 to 2009, holding various roles such as Principal Network Architect, Principal Network/Project Engineer, and Senior Project Engineer in the Wireless Research and Development department.

Lewis began their career at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company as a Network Architect from 1998 to 2000.

Overall, Thompson Lewis demonstrates a strong background in technical engineering, leadership, and education across various companies and industries.

Thompson Lewis has an extensive education history. In 1997, they earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electronic Engineering and Digital Communications from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. From 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology from the Technological Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota.

After a gap, they resumed their studies in 2016 and completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Learning Design and Technology at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in 2018. Their educational journey continued in 2019 when they enrolled in St. Cloud State University and attained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Technology Education in 2020.

In terms of additional certifications, Thompson Lewis obtained the iBwave Level 3 certification from iBwave Solutions Inc. in February 2015.
