Nick Veitch has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Nick started their career at Gippsland Lakes Jetties in 2002, working in maritime construction. Nick then moved on to Tassal Group, where they held various roles in aquaculture, fisheries, and maritime from 2003 to 2008.
In 2008, Nick joined JD Accounting as an accountant before transitioning to FTI Consulting in 2009, where they served as a senior accountant specializing in corporate restructure, recovery, advisory and transaction services, and forensic accounting.
Nick's interest in the subsea industry led him to join Subsea Energy Australia in 2015 as Treasurer, a not-for-profit organization that promotes Australian subsea industry capability. In 2017, they became the Director and Company Secretary at Subsea Innovation Cluster.
Nick's passion for innovation and technology in the marine sector led him to their current role as the Managing Director of Geo Oceans. At Geo Oceans, they oversee the use of diverless subsea technology for marine surveys and inspections, leveraging small ROV systems. Prior to their current position, they served as the Operations Director and Commercial Director at Geo Oceans.
Additionally, Nick has contributed to the community by serving as the Vice Chairman of CASE for Refugees, a not-for-profit community legal center providing legal advice to refugees and humanitarian visa holders in Western Australia. Nick also has experience as a director at Code Accounts, and as a consultant at a consulting firm, FTI Consulting.

Nick Veitch obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Accounting, Corporate Governance, and Aquaculture from the University of Tasmania in 2007. Nick also holds a Diploma in Marine Science from the Port Lincoln Marine Science Centre, which they completed in 2005. In 2009, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. In 2018, Nick obtained a Diploma of Project Management from Logikal. Additionally, they completed a Certificate 2 National Maritime Operations - Coxswains Ticket and Marine Engine Driver 3 at the South East Australian Maritime Education Centre, although the exact dates are not provided.
