Ray Skoog has extensive work experience in the field of system development and computer programming. Ray started their career as a Computer Programmer at Alaska Satellite Facility in 2002 and then moved on to work as a Computer Programmer at Alaska Volcano Observatory in 2004. In 2008, they became an IT Technician at MT Højgaard and worked there until 2012. During this time, they gained experience as a Development Engineer at Thrane & Thrane from 2012 to 2013 before joining Geodata AS as a System Developer in 2013.

Ray Skoog obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where they studied from 1998 to 2003.
