Anirban Basu

Anirban Basu has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2004, they started working as an Associate Software Engineer at SkyTECH Solutions Pvt. Ltd. After that, they joined Infosys Technologies Ltd as a Software Engineer in 2005. In 2007, they became a Senior J2EE Developer at Ontrack Systems Limited.

In 2008, Anirban joined Air France-KLM where they held multiple roles, including Application Developer, Project Manager, and Team Manager. Anirban managed a team of 13 FTE and contributed to various digital acquisition and loyalty campaigns. Anirban also participated in the implementation of SAFE across Air France-KLM. Anirban worked at Air France-KLM until 2016.

From 2016 to 2020, Anirban worked at Travix International as the Director of Software Engineering and later took on the role of Delivery Manager Acquisition & Payment.

In 2018, they joined Nike as the Director of Data & Analytics Engineering until 2020.

Starting in 2020, Anirban worked at Amazon as an Engineering Leader, specifically in Data Analytics & Experimentation for Alexa Devices.

In 2022, they became a Member of the CIO Association of Canada, and in 2023, they took on the role of Board Member for the Vancouver Chapter. In the same year, they also joined Geoforce as the Director of Software Engineering.

Anirban Basu's education history is as follows:

Anirban Basu obtained a B Tech degree in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology - SMU, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2000, they completed their XII (12th grade) education in Science at Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College. Anirban Basu completed their high school education with a degree in General Studies from Asansol Ramakrishna Mission High School, where they studied from 1989 to 1998.

In terms of further education, Anirban Basu completed their Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, which they pursued from 2013 to 2014.

More recently, Anirban Basu has pursued the Technology Leadership Program from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, with a duration of one year from 2022 to 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Anirban Basu has obtained several certifications. These include certifications in Machine Learning and Deep Learning from NobleProg (UK) Limited, MSP Foundation and MSP Practitioner from APMG International, Prince2 Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner from APMG International, SAFe Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., and Certified Associate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute.
