David Holdstock

David Holdstock is the CEO of Geographic Technologies Group. David has over 25 years of experience in the GIS and GPS industry.

David started their career in 1990 as the GIS Cost Center Manager for Parson Brinkerhoff Quade & Douglas. In this role, they managed the GIS department for transportation related projects.

In 1993, David took a position as the GIS / GPS Director for the Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) at NCSU. In this role, they were responsible for the local government GIS and GPS programs.

In 1997, David left ITRE to start Geographic Technologies Group. GTG is a leading provider of GIS software and services. The company has been recognized as one of the "100 Most Promising Companies" by Forbes and one of the "500 Fastest Growing Companies" by Inc.

David Holdstock has a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - Natural Resource Administration from NCSU. David also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography from Greenwich University/ Thames Polytechnic in London, UK. David is also certified by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) as a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP).
