Ajay Unagar

Ajay Unagar is an experienced applied researcher specializing in 3D computer vision and deep learning, currently working at Geomagical Labs since November 2021. Previous positions include a research assistant role at ETH Zurich, where projects focused on reinforcement learning and graph learning, and a master thesis at the Robotic Systems Lab, concentrating on global path planning for legged robots. Additionally, Ajay has interned at IBM, focusing on continual learning in image classification, and worked in alpha research at Trexquant Investment LP, developing machine learning-based trading strategies. Previous consultancy experiences include data science roles at ZS, addressing client-specific challenges with advanced data techniques, as well as internships at Busigence Technologies and IIT Hyderabad. Ajay holds a Master of Science in Computational Science (Robotics) from ETH Zürich and dual Bachelor's degrees in Civil Engineering and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
