Deedar Nabi is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) since September 2017 and has held roles as an Assistant Professor and a Researcher at the GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel since November 2022, focusing on organic environmental chemistry and the impacts of plastic-associated chemicals. Previous positions include Assistant Professor of Environmental Health at Jumeira University, Postdoctoral Fellow at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. Deedar Nabi completed a PhD in Environmental Engineering at EPFL, where research focused on the behavior of persistent bioaccumulative and toxic chemicals. Additional experience includes environmental consulting, teaching various engineering courses, and managing labs and environmental compliance audits in Pakistan. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from NUST and an MSc in Chemistry from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
