Sebastian Lema

Sebastian Lema is a seasoned professional in sustainability and climate finance, currently serving as a Senior Sustainability Specialist at GeoPark since March 2025. Previously, as the Carbon Markets and Climate Finance Director at CCAP, Sebastian directed analysis on climate change financing strategies in developing countries from April 2023 to March 2025. Additional roles include membership in the Sustainable Development Benefits and Social Safeguards Working Group for the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market in 2024, and various positions at Ecopetrol, Climate Focus, and the National Planning Department of Colombia, demonstrating deep expertise in climate finance, policy formulation, and project management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University and a bachelor's degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
