Vanessa Amaya

Vanessa Amaya is an accomplished professional in the energy sector, currently serving as New Business Manager at GeoPark since November 2023. Prior to this role, Vanessa dedicated over 16 years at Repsol, advancing through several positions including Business Development Lead and Senior Exploration Geoscientist both onshore and offshore in Colombia, as well as in the NV Middle East. Vanessa began the career in seismic data processing at PETROSEIS and gained initial experience through an internship at Chevron. Academically, Vanessa holds a Master of Management in Energy with a focus on Project Management from BI Norwegian Business School and IFP School, along with a Master’s degree in Hydrocarbons Exploration and Production from Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology from Bates College. Vanessa’s educational background is further enriched by an International Baccalaureate Diploma obtained at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong.
