David Oman CMIOSH has a comprehensive work experience in the field of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems. David has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Safety Officer at Odfjell Drilling from 2004 to 2010. David then progressed to become an HSE Advisor at CDPL from 2010 to 2012, where they supervised and guided a team of offshore HSE Advisors and conducted compliance audits. From 2012 to 2018, David served as a Senior QHSE Advisor at CDPL, where they were responsible for integrating safety management systems and ensuring conformity to international standards. Currently, they hold the position of Head of QHSE at Geoquip Marine Group, where they manage the QHSE department and ensures the company's quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems are in compliance and fit for purpose.

David Oman CMIOSH has a strong educational background in occupational health and safety. David obtained a Level 6 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety Practice from Business Systems in December 2020. Previously, in 2016, they completed a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice from Business System, accredited by NEBOSH. David also holds a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, which they achieved in 2005 from RRC.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained various certifications and qualifications. David became a Chartered Member of IOSH in December 2016. David is also an IRCA Registered and Certified Lead Auditor ISO 9001, certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors since October 2020. Furthermore, David has received training in incident/accident investigation from DNV and has been certified as an Internal Auditor. David has also obtained a Train the Trainer qualification from the British Safety Council.

David's educational journey started with their pursuit of a HNC in Business Finance and Economics from Reid Kerr Paisley. However, the start and end years for this qualification are not provided.
