Carolyn Hawthorn

Carolyn Hawthorn currently serves as the Strategic Partnerships & Work Integrated Learning Manager at George Brown College since February 2024. Prior to this role, Carolyn held the position of Head of Brand, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Giving at Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc (Canada) from March 2023 to February 2024. Carolyn’s extensive experience includes roles such as Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives at Wilfrid Laurier University, Manager of Advancement & External Relations, and Manager of University Relations for Laurier Toronto. Earlier positions include Development Associate at the Canadian Cancer Society, Business Development Officer at Harbourfront Centre, School Ambassador at The Terry Fox Foundation, and Campaign Staff at the Movember Foundation. Carolyn began their career as a Communications Officer for the University Students' Council at The University of Western Ontario. Carolyn holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from the University of Guelph, a qualification in Fundraising and Volunteer Management from Humber College, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours Specialization in History from Western University.
