George Comfort & Sons
Matthew Coudert, Director of Leasing, has been involved in the leasing side of the business, as well as asset management at George Comfort & Sons, Inc. for over 30 years. He joined the company in 1987, and has held lead roles in the repositioning and re-tenanting of significant New York City buildings including 200 Madison Avenue, Worldwide Plaza at 350 West 50th Street, 63 Madison Avenue, 498 Seventh Avenue, 24 West 57th Street, 20 East 46th Street and others.
Key to his success, in addition to his exceptional knowledge of the commercial leasing market, has been to consistently maintain strong relationships with owners, tenants and the brokerage community, at which Matthew excels. This focus on relationships has consistently helped attract and retain excellent tenants that include such corporate giants as IBM, NY Life, SEIU, PVH, HAVAS, WebMD, and CBS Broadcasting.
A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Matthew graduated from Washington & Lee University with a B.A. degree in Economics. He is married with two children, and resides in Manhattan. His love of sailing is a favorite pastime, and a passion he shares with the underserved youth in NYC as a volunteer board member of Hudson River Community Sailing, a not-for-profit focused on teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through sailing and other water-based activities.
