Dan LaTourette is an experienced film educator and industry professional based in Rochester, New York. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology since June 2016, Dan teaches a freshman course on Film Syntax, focusing on the fundamentals of film language. Additionally, Dan has held the role of Theater Manager and Box Office Receptionist at the George Eastman Museum since May 2016, overseeing ticket sales and screening functions. From June 2014 to May 2017, Dan contributed to the local film community as the Rochester Film Examiner for Examiner.com, where weekly columns covered film criticism and events within the region. Dan also gained valuable experience as a Television Production Intern at WXXI Public Broadcasting Council in late 2015, assisting with live shoots and production setups. Dan holds a Master's Degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction in Film and Media Studies from the University of Rochester.
