Debra Riggs

Debra Riggs, CAE, has extensive experience in leadership roles within the social work field. Since March 1998, Debra has served as the Executive Director for the Virginia Chapter and Metro DC Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), highlighting a long-standing commitment to social work advocacy and organizational management. Additional leadership positions include Chairperson of the Longwood University School of Social Work Advisory Board since June 2018, and an Advisory Board Member at George Mason University since 2005. Debra has also held key positions with the NASW Virginia Chapter and served as CEO prior to becoming Executive Director. Educational credentials include work toward a Master's in Social Work at the University of Arkansas Little Rock and a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University.
