Julia Hsin-Ping Hsu

Julia Hsin-Ping Hsu is an accomplished researcher and engineer with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications for social good. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University since November 2019, Julia works on ML algorithm implementation, human-AI collaboration, and urban data analytics. In 2024, Julia was a COVES Fellow with the Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine, focusing on the ethical use of AI in higher education. Julia's background includes software engineering at MYGUARD CO. LTD., where collaborative application development for medical institutions was key, and teaching assistance at the University of Taipei. Julia holds a PhD in Information Technology and an MS in Computer Science from George Mason University, as well as a BS in Computer Science from the University of Taipei.
