Kang Shen

Kang Shen holds a Master's degree in Health Informatics Data Analytics and a Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics from George Mason University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wuhan University. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at George Mason University since August 2025, Kang has previously gained experience as a CDC Public Health Informatics Fellow at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from August 2023 to August 2025. Additional roles include serving as a Research Assistant/Research Analyst and Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University, an IT Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service, a Data Analytics Intern at the Medical Society of Northern Virginia, a Technician at RayBiotech, Inc., and an ICU Nurse in a hospital setting. Currently pursuing a PhD in Health Services Research at George Mason University, Kang has built a solid foundation in health informatics and public health during an extensive career.
