Shvetha Soundararajan

Associate Professor (teaching) at George Mason University

Shvetha Soundararajan is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of computer science, currently serving as an Associate Professor (Teaching) at George Mason University since August 2016. In addition to this role, Shvetha is the Site Lead for Break Through Tech-DC-Mason and the Director of Inclusive Computing. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor (Teaching) at George Mason University and as an Adjunct Instructor and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech from 2010 to 2016. Shvetha's earlier roles feature positions as a Software Engineer at Digital Library and Archives and as a Usability Engineer at Learning Technologies, both at Virginia Tech. Shvetha holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Anna University.
