Zahra Patterson

Zahra Patterson is an experienced educator currently serving as an English and History Teacher at George School since August 2019, after a brief role as a Leave Replacement English Teacher at the same institution earlier in 2019. Previous teaching experience includes positions such as CUNY Start Instructor at Medgar Evers College, CUNY Start Continuing Education Teacher at the College of Staten Island, and Upper School English Teacher at Staten Island Academy. Zahra has also held administrative roles, including Office Manager at The Co-op School, and has significant experience in creative writing and youth arts through the role of Creator and Director at Raw Fiction. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Writing from Pratt Institute and ongoing studies towards a Certificate in Education Policy at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
