Edgar Herrera is an accomplished arts leader with extensive experience in managing and directing prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Managing Director of George Street Playhouse since May 2023, Edgar has previously held significant positions such as Senior Strategy & Fundraising Adviser for the New Orchestra of Washington and The Ponce Project Foundation, and Executive Director & Chief Development Officer for Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. Key achievements include transforming the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra's budget from $1 million to $3.5 million, founding Grupo LUZED, which generated over $20 million in revenue, and establishing Filantrofilia as a leading institution for measuring social impact in Mexico. Edgar holds multiple degrees, including MM and BM in Music Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin, an MBA in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati, and an MA in Arts Administration from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Central New Jersey's preeminent professional theatre. Under the leadership of Artistic Director David Saint, George Street Playhouse is a nationally recognized theatre, presenting an acclaimed mainstage season while providing an artistic home for established and emerging theatre artists. Founded in 1974, the Playhouse has been represented by numerous productions both on and Off Broadway – recent productions include Anne Meara's Down the Garden Paths, the Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk and Drama League nominated production of The Spitfire Grill and the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning play Proof by David Auburn which was developed at GSP during the 1999 Next Stage Series of new plays. In addition to its mainstage season, GSP's Touring Theatre features five issue-oriented productions that tours to more than 250 schools in the tri-state area
