Matthew Kavanagh, PhD, serves as the Director of the Center for Global Health Policy & Politics at Georgetown University and the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, alongside roles as Assistant Professor of Global Health and Visiting Professor of Law. Matthew's experience includes tenure as Deputy Executive Director ad interim at UNAIDS, where Matthew Kavanagh developed a new Policy, Advocacy & Knowledge branch. Matthew Kavanagh has held fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and has conducted research at various institutions including the University of Johannesburg. With a robust background in human rights, access to medicines, and global health policy, Matthew Kavanagh has worked in significant roles with organizations such as the Health Global Access Project and RESULTS Educational Fund.
